Recovery entry

This page is a public starting point for encrypted ARKNAS recovery material. It does not contain plaintext secrets and is not a trust root.

Minimal recovery path

  1. Read the ArkSheet and verify the printed root fingerprint.
  2. Download ARKROOT-A and ARKROOT-B from the blob area or another printed locator.
  3. Verify hash, sequence, and locator commitment.
  4. Decrypt the newest valid ARKROOT snapshot with the Root Key from ArkSheet.
  5. Recover child roots, LUKS descriptors, vault keys, and backup locators.
